Good points, I never thought about the safety factor or the tire wear. I find the OEM shocks a bit harsh, and at times potholes and heaved pavement have sent my butt about 4 inches off the seat. I would think the Koni's would help immensely with these problems, I just wish they didn't cost so much. Maybe their high cost (higher than other Koni's for other bikes) is due to the fact that they don't sell too many. Who knows...
If I can, I'd like to muster up the cash and see how they work. Hard to do at the moment, too many other things need attention.
